Just a vent.
I hate people who tell you
"My religion is right", "You're a sinner", "You need to accept Jesus Christ into your heart", "You need to be saved", "You're going to hell" etc

Religion is not fact, if it was than every one of the 7+billion people on this planet would be unified under one proven religion.
Since there's like a zillion religions out there (Including Cthulhu and the flying spaghetti monster) I will choose to say it is indeed NOT a fact.

Besides facts have to be something that is proven and can be repeated as a consequence after several attempts. For example it is a fact that water will freeze into ice at a certain temperature- no matter if you put the ice tray in the freezer, your mom's freezer, a cold cellar, outside in snow, or in a frozen lake it will still freeze assuming the temperature is right. That is fact, it can be proven, and the result won't change with repeated experimentation.

I'm not bashing people for believing in God or Jesus or Buddha or anyone else they choose to. You can believe in who or whatever you want. That's the beauty of a free country and people with free will. Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist, Shinto, Pagan, Atheist, Polytheist, whatever. It's all Greek to me.

You do not however, have my permission to tell me I am flawed or wrong for not agreeing with you. I am not and neither is anyone else that believes in something else.

So stop it! Go believe in your beliefs elsewhere and stop with the forceful idiocy. Please!

As someone active in the Christian faith, I have to say...I completely agree with you. 99% (or there abouts) of all religious faiths espouse non-judgemental acceptance of everyone. Those who would have you believe that you are, in any way, lesser than them or flawed are certainly not practicing the religion they have chosen to follow. The bible is full of examples that endorse the accepting of everyone regardless of creed, colour, religion or other. You don't need to be Christian or Catholic or anything else to be a good person, you just need to follow some simple tenets which, coincidently appear within religious doctrine.

And you're absolutely right, there is no certain proof that makes any religion a fact. That's why it's called 'faith'. Anyone who understands their chosen religion should understand that at the very least. It's the judgemental believers that give the rest of us a bad name. Feel free to slap them down. :) (now that's good and Christian of me! Haha!)
